Akad0

Akad⁰ is a performance artist, designer and art director based in Berlin and Leipzig. Their practice investigates how perception, movement and consciousness shape our experience of reality.

Working across live performance, film, installation, video and light, they treat the body as both instrument and archive. Their research explores neurodiversity, nonverbal communication, sensory perception and altered states of consciousness. Through a process of unmasking learned behaviours, movement becomes a means of discovery and exchange.

Their work finds resonances with Butoh and invites audiences to take an active role in exploring the shifting boundaries between inner and outer experience. In 2025, Akad⁰ co-founded Umerigu, an art house, community and eco-social association.
