Non ego is a movement performance and psychosocial experiment that explores the moment of encounter between individuals through an interactive experience that evolves according to participants’ choices. In this work, we address questions related to four fundamental emotions- hate, pity, empathy, and guilt-and the distinctions between them.
These emotions shape our daily lives as a varied team of diasporas coming together here and now in the city of Leipzig in an absurd
delirious burning world to share this experience collectively. non ego aims to create a space where participants can test how emotions transform when directly confronted. They become central participants in the experience, making choices that influence what unfolds on stage. Through decision-making, subtle layers within our relationships with ourselves and others are revealed, turning participants into active contributors while we, as facilitators, also become part of the experience. The goal is not to provide final answers, but to open a space for a participatory experience that encourages reflection on the individual’s place within the group and the role these emotions play in shaping our everyday existence. With each presentation, the experience shifts according to the nature of the interaction, giving the performance a structure that evolves with participants’ engagement, keeping the project in a continuous state of transformation.
