A light play with the plants of the tropical house. We are not lighting the garden, we are highlighting its fascinating and owe-commanding being. We try to move around the trees, hang our little light elements, imitate some wonder fruits, or simply color their humonguos leaves. We are too small in front of this entity, so is our light. But we still want to paint a picture, take it with us when we go away, and remember…
Rather than illuminating the garden in a conventional sense, the project focused on revealing and honoring the powerful presence of its plant life — its scale, structure, and living atmosphere.
Small, mobile light sources were placed carefully among the vegetation: LEDs, compact battery lamps inside translucent balloons, and selective spotlights. The lighting did not aim to dominate the space but to move gently within it — orbiting trunks, tracing leaf veins, echoing organic forms, and creating momentary “wonder fruits” of color and glow suspended between branches. Large leaves became reflective surfaces; layered greens turned into shifting canvases.
